The stars were shining on November 25 when the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 2002 International Emmy Awards at the Sheraton Hotel in New York. Joan Collins, Barbara Walters, Mia Farrow, and Dan Rather were among the 850 luminaries in attendance. The gala recognizes exceptional television programming outside the United States.
The dinner tables were as glamorous as the crowd. LINENS á la CARTE provided white tablecloths in Celebrity Stripe, a damask pattern of white-on-white stripes. Votive candles and water lilies, set afloat in a centerpiece bowl and surrounded by additional votive candles, cast a warm glow on tables filled with celebrities. At the VIP pre-dinner reception, LINENS á la CARTE supplied silver satin tablecloths for the cocktail tables.
